Autumn Leaf Stamp Tangle

Hi There,

I’m busy packing for my next travel location.  I will be heading to Lincoln, Illinois to teach my brayer techniques to some fabulous students, woohooo!  I love an adventure, don’t you?

Before I leave I wanted to pose a question for you.  Do you know what Zentangle is?    Zentangle is something I find myself doing when I’m a bit stressed or just want to calm my mind.  Zentangle is a relaxing process that turns drawing simple patterns into artistic design.  Plus you get the mental health benefits, love that.   Here is a link to the Zentangle Creator’s website if you would like more info on Zentangling, CLICK HERE.

Now, you know how much I love rubber stamping and I’m guessing that you do too if you are reading my blog.   Well I have been playing around with using stamping in the Zentangle process.  I call it Stamp Tangle.

Would you like to know how this is done?  Maybe see some tutorials?  If so, let me hear from you in my comment section below.  If you are getting this via e-mail and want to comment, please CLICK HERE  and then leave a comment at the bottom of the actual blog post.

If there is some interest I will create some Stamp Tangle things to share with you on this blog.

It’s a wonderful process.  I think you will love it.

May you have an inner peace filled weekend.

Until my next post. . . . .

Hugs,

I guess I’m the only “NO”, I do not like Zentangle. Learned it over a year ago. It makes me nervous. Either I’m the only No, or the ones that do not like it, do not want to post.
I love your tutorials. Especially the nature and tropical scenes. I like “real” not abstract.
    Guess that’s just me……….sorry.

  4. this is the first example of it that I actually like. so much so that I had to pop over and leave you a comment! 😉 this is stunning!
I’m not really a fan, (well it’s hard to be a vintage/shabby person and also be into this style! grins!), but I always learn something from every tut you do. so teach away, dear instructor! 🙂

I’m curious about the process, but don’t love that kind of art. I don’t mind learning something new, but I’m like Gerri who would prefer the nature and tropical scenes. But I will give it a try…who knows…I may be pleasantly surprised.

Oh, I’d love it. The key is adding that depth. I can doodle but I’m bad at the depth and perspective thing. I’d love to learn. Thanks.

Gosh, Michelle..what an amazing card. But for you to be able to give a tutorial on this is beyond me how..I have seen classes at stores near me on this technique, but..I have felt for me, no way. I cannot even draw a crooked line that looks good. And nothing I ever do is straight or even..So, yes…a tutorial would be fantastic.
    Easy, no way.

Oh YES! Definitely yes. I would love to learn how this is done. Just love the look. At first I was disappointed to see your didn’t have a tutorial as usual, BUT, then as I read on, I squealed. Can’t wait to see your instruction on this technique. TFS

I have taken three different Zentangle classes at our LSS and my stampin’ friends and I enjoy combining the two art forms. I especially love stamping with white on black and using white pens and colored gel pens to create my tangle patterns. Would love to see more of what you come up with using the two together!

  11. Hi Michelle Yes please more info and tutorials on Zentangle would be great. Another favourite lady of mine (Barbara Gray of Clarity Stamp) is into Zentangle too and tells us that it was a great cure for her dreadful headaches when she was a uni student.

I LOVE this card. I also love to zentangle. When I am on long trips or just want to relax my mind and body, I pick up a pen and paper and away I go. Thanks to you and your wonderful creation, I will add it to my card making.
