This is my beautiful grand daughter, Hailie Jade.   She is here visiting me for 2 weeks, woohoo!   We’ve already made a fresh strawberry pie this morning from scratch and  Hailie Jade  learned how to do a fluted edge to a pie.  This is her first attempt.  I’m so proud!

    I envy both you and your grandma. You are going to have so much fun – your grandma seems like a fantastic person to spend two weeks with. Your grandma is so lucky to have a granddaughter to spend time with. I have two wonderful teenage sons, however, they don’t want to make stamping projects with me (I take them to car shows).     I’m such a fan of your grandmother and I have even had the pleasure of taking one of her classes. How wonderful that you get to spend time with her and learn many new things.     Halie Jade – cherish your pie making lessons with your grandmother. My grandma made the pies for the family therefore none of us learned how to make piecrust. I’ve tried several times but it just seems to fly across the kitchen into the trash can! What I wouldn’t give for some time with my grandmothers! I always remember my Grandma Wilson whistling in the kitchen whenever she cooked.

    I love baking with the grandchildren when they visit. At our house we haven’t tried baking a pie, but we have made countless batches of chocolate chip cookies for Grandpa. I know you are enjoying time with your granddaughter! The blog candy looks like it would be so much fun to try. I’ve not ever done anything with an embossing folder and stamp set that match.
