This is my beautiful grand daughter, Hailie Jade.   She is here visiting me for 2 weeks, woohoo!   We’ve already made a fresh strawberry pie this morning from scratch and  Hailie Jade  learned how to do a fluted edge to a pie.  This is her first attempt.  I’m so proud!

    Hailie Jade – you are a better pie maker than me! I tried to make a strawberry rhubarb pie for my hubby on Sat. and after trying to make two different crust recipes, when I was trying to roll them out, they were falling apart, so I tossed them in the garbage, then went to the store to buy a rolled up crust, and then I had a hard time with that-I don’t think I’m ever going to make another pie! It’s a good thing I’m better at stamping than pie-making!

    Hi Ya Hailie,
    Does my heart good to see you baking with Grandma, makes me think of my granddaughter, Kailey, she loves to come here and bake with me as well, only she calls me MomMom. First words out of her mouth, what are we making this time MomMom? And she loves washing the dishes which is always a big help. There is nothing like Grandma and granddaughter, I fondly remember being the same way with my grandma and that was a LONG time ago, so many fond memories this brings back. I thank you for that.
