Grass Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hey There,

I took a break from watching these characters to make this reflection card.

It was tough pulling myself away from their antics.  They are now 9 days old and getting a few feathers on their wings.  I think they have doubled in size, it’s incredible!

I thought I would only torture two of the 6 chicks today with the camera.   The one on the left is an Easter Egger.  She will eventually lay eggs with either green or blue shells.  The chick on the right is a Marans and she will lay eggs with a really dark brown shell.   I don’t have names for them yet.  Still taking suggestions if you have one.  Psst . . . . I better name them fast, my brother in law decided they should be called chicken nuggets!

Enough about the Zindorf flock, my card today was done with the direct to paper method and features the Stampin’ Up! Wetlands stamp set.   The complete supply list for this card along with info on how you can get the project tutorial for free is below.

The chicks really do change quickly! Cut little buggars, aren’t they?! And I’m still exhausted just thinking about all the canning/freezing you’ve been doing. Everything looked/sounded delicious. Still enjoy seeing your cards – great inspiration. TFS

OK, if the black chick stays black, you could call her Midnight. Socks would be an alternate name, too. She has those cute black legs with yellow toes. The other one could be called Callie (short for Calico – she reminds me of a beautiful calico cat). I love love love your chickie updates!!!

Being form the south I suggest you name one chick Henrietta because of her charming beauty! I also love the reflection card and will try making one too. Thanks for the inspiration and the chick updates. I wish I lived in an area where we could have chickens.
