Merry Christmas!

holiday-plaque.jpg

May you and your family have a safe and wonderful Christmas.

Much Love,

This plaque was made a couple of years ago but I still use it every Christmas.  🙂

Recipe: Painted with white acrylic paint a 11.25 x 8.5 inch bare wood plaque. After it dried I masked the snow area with a scrap piece of paper torn at the top edge. Painted sky first with Butter Pecan acrylic paint and then sponged Dark Brown acrylic paint at the top and along the horizon line. Let dry.
Stamped Lovely as a Tree trees with Black Stazon along the horizon line. Removed snow mask. Stamped Trees Three Trees (now retired) with Stazon Black and took a Black Artist Pen and extended the branches of the trees. Stamped Snowflakes with Stazon Opaque Cotton White.
Used just a touch of the Pecan acrylic paint to make shadows for the trees.
Stamped “Merry Christmas and” with Stazon Black. Stamped “Peaceful Wishes” using a small amount of Dark Brown acrylic Paint applied to the stamp with a sponge brush. The rest of the sentiment was die cut from Black card stock and glued to the board. I did not put any protective coating on this because it will be used indoors only and I didn’t know how the black cardstock would react to a sealant.

I made one of these the year that you first put it up and it turned out exactly like it. I made it for my daugter’s home and she puts it on her door every year. Love it. You are so clever.
