Life’s Curve Ball and Stampin’ Up! Blog Candy

Hey There,

Well just when you think you have your schedule for the week all figured out and you are caught up on everything, life throws you a big old curve ball.

Tuesday after I finished by blog post for the day and was all ready to get out in the garden to get a jump start on some projects, I started having chest pains.  It was scary enough that I got myself to the hospital to get checked out.  They kept me until last night.  Two days of poking me with needles, stress test etc.  I found out that my heart is perfect, but I have high blood pressure and stress probably brought on the chest pains.  Nothing medication and taking better care of myself won’t cure.  Whew!  what a relief.  🙂

So, I’m taking today to get caught up on things.  But I have some blog candy to give away.   That’s right I’m giving away a brand new Stampin’ Up! See Ya Later Stamp set!

All you have to do to enter your name for chance to win is comment below to enter you.  If you are getting this blog update via e-mail, please CLICK HERE and then leave a comment at the bottom of this post.

I will select the winner on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 using a random number generator.  Good luck!

I will be back tomorrow with a project to show.

May this day leave you happy and healthy.

Until my next post. . . . . . .  .

Huge Hugs!

Thankfully you listened to your body and acted. It is so important to be an advocate for our own health and it’s wonderful there was a treatable reason for the pain. Love the blog candy being offered so please enter me in the drawing. Take care and soak up the sunshine! Vera

  8. I am learning quickly that I need to take care of me first or I can’t adequately take care of the rest of the people in my life. So I am in a Diabetes Prevention Program to lose weight. So far it’s been fun and I am looking forward to each class and the support group that I now have. I love sentiments and this set is so adorable! Please add me to the list who want to win! Take care of you!

OMG! A similar situation happened to me last week. I was doing a fundraiser at a restaurant for my boys school and got food poisoning. It was so bad that it was making my chest tighten and I was getting anxiety attacks. didn’t help that my husband was going out of town the next day. They put me on antibiotics for bacteria. I’m going on day 7. At least I have dropped a few pounds. I was torn between this set and the ones I chose from party. Hopefully you’ll pick me and I’ll have gotten all of the ones I wanted. Feel better.

Oh, my! Didn’t your husband just have some heart problems? Or am I confusing you with a different blogger…..could be a senior moment! I’ve just recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure myself and it’s kinda scary so we should both just chill all day long for a while, right? haha! Anywhoooo, I’d love to win your blog candy as that would be something new & wonderful to play with to calm me down; my health is now in your hands, or the hands of the random number picker!!! Thanks for this chance to win a new goodie!

I know how scary that can be, only with me it took a triple bi-pass before I was on the mend. So glad to hear that wasn’t the case with you. Where do you live that you can get outside and start gardening? We just got hit with another 17 inches of snow and it is still snowing! Ugh! I am so ready for Spring! I get to go down to Louisiana in April to meet my new granddaughter, I may not come back! =D

I’m so glad you went to the hospital and got checked out. That was very smart of you and it sounds like they were very thorough. It’s wonderful to know everything can be taken care of and it’s not heart problems. I love the sentiments on that stamp set and would have so many people to use it for. Thanks for a chance to win and take care of yourself.

  25. So glad that you got checked! I can relate as I have the same medical issue! But was scary until they figured it out. I say stay away from the garden and “Play with Paper” 🙂 Although both are my top favorites for relaxing! Blessings and Prayers.

What a relief that you found only blood pressure and stress as causes for your chest pain! I hope you will find the best Rx to help you.
Thank you for the opportunity to win this stamp set–I have the perfect card to make if I can get the “happy” stamp. The others look quite useful, too.
I really appreciate your beautiful cards, made in your inimitable style. I learn better from tutorials on paper than from those on videos, and the times I have followed your tutorials, I have had no problems.
