Peaceful Petals – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

I created my card today using my favorite technique, emboss resist.  I love using this technique to put light images in front of dark backgrounds and pull those images to the foreground.

You can find the complete supply list below for this project and also how to the get the tutorial for this project free or by purchase below.

On another note:

Spring is the kick off for my gardening season.  I start a lot of my vegetables from seed and make my own little newspaper pots to start my seedlings in.  Here is how I do it.

I started with a Pot Maker which I purchased from Amazon. 3″ wide newspaper strips and rolled them around the pot maker with excess hanging off of the bottom.

Folded the bottom excess over.

Smashed the pot maker on the base and then slipped the new little pot off.  Newspaper pots can be put right into the ground when you plant your seedling and it will decompose.

Fill the pot with seed starter and plant your seeds according to the seed packet.  🙂  It is so very rewarding to start a plant from seed and be able to eat when the plant produces.

So how is your garden coming along?

Have a fabulous day!   I’m off to plant more seeds.

Until my next post. . . . . . .  .

Huge Hugs!

Today’s card is great, the layering of images is great, as always. And I LOVE that you share with us your interesting finds! I had no idea you could make your own seedling pots, and I felt a little funny searching for ‘pot maker’ on Amazon. That’s a pretty neat little gadget!

    Hi Michelle,

I have not received your last few posts even though I am subscribed. Do you know if there is an issue? I checked my spam folder and there was nothing there either. I was wondering what happened to you and hoping every thing was ok because I hadn’t received any email subscriptions since April 1st. I was glad to see you were still busy being creative. Thanks, Diane

    • I’m at a loss as to why you are not getting my blog updates. You do have an active subscription, I checked in feedburner. There is something strange happening with feedburner lately. Myself and others are experiencing a shift in our subscription numbers. Sometimes an internet provider changes something and it effects feedburner and the subscribers that use that service. I’m thinking that is what has happened here.

Most of the time it works its way back to normal.
