Cut a 3.5″ circle our of a piece of Whisper White card stock using a circle die and my big shot machine.

Punched a 1 3/4″ circle from the stick part of a post it note and used it as a mask for the sun.  Brayered Tempting Turquoise ink on the card stock.

Brayered Pacific Point ink at the top of the card stock, not covering the Tempting Turquoise ink entirely.

Removed the sun mask and sponged Daffodil Delight ink on the sun.

Loaded the petal from the Stampin’ Up set “Build a Blossom” with Daffodil Delight ink and then rolled the edges of the stamp on a Cajun Craze ink before stamping.  This technique is called Shadow stamping.  🙂   I stamped the petals on Whisper White card stock.

Punched the petals out using the matching punch.

Adhered the petals to the die cut circle.

Punched a 1 1/4″ circle from Early Espresso card stock and then sponged Basic Black ink on the circle edges.

Adhered the Early Espresso circle to the center of the petals and cut the part of the circle off that hangs over the die cut edge.

Added 2 Cajun Craze panels, 1 Tempting Turquoise panel and 1 Early Espresso panel.

Added Pierced rows at the top and left side of the card stock using the Stampin’ Up Mat pack and piercing tool.

Pierced holes in the flower center using the piercing tools.

Added 4 gold brads.

Here is the finished card measuring 5.25″ square.

May your day be filled with laughter and love.

Until my next post. . . . . . .  .

The Boot – Tutorial #394

Super quick post today.  🙂  Right after I am done here I’m off to go clothes shopping.   I need to go down one size!!!!  Now that’s exciting!

There have been some inquiries on how I am loosing weight.  I am walking 2 (20 minute) miles, 5 times a week on my treadmill and following the Weight Watchers weight loss plan.

Now let’s get started on this tutorial so I can go shopping!

Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Out West and Vintage Vogue
Paper: Stampin’ Up! River Rock, Soft Suede and Basic Black
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Basic Black Craft Ink and Soft Suede Classic Ink
Accessories: Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Antique Brads, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Markers, Versamark Marker, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Sponges

Box 116, West Alexandria, OH 45381 or send it via paypal to mzindorf@aim.com USA only.     My current customers will receive a new Occasions Mini Catalog automatically from me.   Not a current customer and want a free copy of the new Occasions Mini Catalog ?  E-mail your mailing address to mzindorf@aim.com and I will get one in the mail to you.  )  Are you getting inspiration from this blog?   One way you can help support it is to order your Stampin’ Up products through me.   Click HERE to place an order.    Want to become a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator , receive a 20% discount on product and earn instant income on orders?  Consider being part of my Stampin’ Up Team and start your own business or become a Hobby Demo just for the discount.  Click HERE for more information.

Stamped the boot using Craft (Pigment) Basic Black ink on a 3.25″ piece of River Rock card stock and then heat embossed the image using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.

Colored the bottom of the boot using a Soft Suede marker and the top of the boot and heal with a Crumb Cake marker.

Colored over the image using a Versamark marker and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.

Sponged Soft Suede ink at the bottom of the card stock.

Sponged Basic Black ink at the bottom of the card stock.   Oops! Accidently deleted some of my pictures, stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up Vintage Vogue set using Soft Suede ink around the edge of the card stock.  Sponged Basic Black ink around the edges of the card stock.  Cute two pieces of Soft Suede card stock, one 5″ x 1″ and the other 5″ x .75″.   Stamped the Flowers from the Stampin’ Up set Vintage Vogue on the pieces using Basic Black ink.  Sponged Basic Black ink around the edges of the pieces of card stock.

Now if you haven’t tried this, you need to, just to see how beautiful it is in person.

Stamped the flowers all over a 5″ square piece of Basic Black card stock using Craft Basic Black ink.  Heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder.

Assembled the card adding a 5.25″ square panel of River Rock card stock and a 5.5″ square panel of Basic Black card stock.  Added Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon and Antique Brads.

Here is the finished card measuring 5.5″ square.

May your weekend be as special as you are!

I hope you are warm, snug in your home with heat and lights.

The Winner of the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach Is. . . . . .

I returned home yesterday from Tucson, AZ.  My what a trip it was.  I had a quick layover in Atlanta, GA, so I thought, I boarded my plane there only to sit there for an hour before they de-boarded us because of a mechanical problem with the plane.  Then I had to sit there in Atlanta for 7 hours waiting on a flight to Ohio.  Needless to say, my trip home started at 6:30 in the morning and I arrived home finally at 12:30 at night.  The great time I had in Arizona was well worth the long trip I had getting home.  Thanks to you Arizonians who made my trip memorable!

It was hard facing the ice storm that I arrived home to in Ohio.  We are currently still getting freezing rain that has coated everything in sight with a good inch of ice.    This storm is currently affecting 33 states, Yuck.  I miss the blue skies and 70 degree temps from Arizona already!

I gave myself the day off but, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to announce the Blog Candy Winner.  So, without further ado, the winner of the Stampin’ Up Color Coach is. . . . . . . .

Christy Saldana  who wrote “What a wonderful tool. Could use this for everything, not just cards and stamping. Thanks and have a wonderful trip”.

Christy, Congratulations!   Please e-mail your shipping address to me at mzindorf@aim.com with in 30 days and I will get this awesome tool right out to you.

Thanks to everyone that played along.

Until my next post. . . . .

Huge Hugs,

Michelle

How to Stay Young :)

This is my last day in Tucson, AZ  (frown).  It is so beautiful and the people are wonderful.  I leave here first thing tomorrow morning to return to cold Ohio.

I don’t have any stamping for you today.  I received this from a friend and wanted to share it with you.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1.  Try everything twice.
On one woman’s tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph:
“Tried everything twice. Loved it both times!”

2.  Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever…
Never let the brain get idle.  ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’
And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.
Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh,
spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6.. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever..

Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips..
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county,
to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
I love you, my special friend.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second
chance..

And if you don’t send this to at least 4 people – who cares?
But do share this with someone.

Remember! Lost time can never be found.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of
battle.

Wine does not make you FAT ….

– it makes you LEAN ….
(Against tables, chairs,  floors, walls and ugly people.)

Have a great day!

MY BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!

Until my next post. . . . .  .

Hugs,

Michelle

17 lbs down, 53 to go. . . .  .

I’m not in Ohio any more . . . . .

Well Folks, as you see I have made to Tucson, Arizona and it is stunning!!!  I arrived yesterday morning and spent the afternoon with my Hostess, Tonya taking in the awesome sights of the Saguaro National Park.   It’s prickly but fabulous!   The temperatures are a wonderful 70 degrees.   A bit different than the freezing temperatures of Ohio.

I will be teaching my brayer workshops today and tomorrow to the wonderful stampers of Arizona, I cannot wait to get started.  🙂
