I decided to add a bit of whimsy to my card today with these punched designer series paper trees.  I hope you like them and they inspire you to get out those punches and do some punch art.

Kite – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,
Well it’s almost kite weather. . . . .
It has been sooooo windy here that I’m not sure a kite would survive being flown in the 20-30 mile an hour winds.  Not to mention the cold, brrrr.  But I’ve no doubt Spring will arrive soon and you will see kites being flown again.  I’m keeping both fingers and toes crossed that Spring will arrive very soon.  🙂   So whoever is praying for snow, please stop!
I think this would be such a cute and cheerful card to give to a boy, don’t you?  Primary colors always make me think of boy cards.

On another note. . . . .

I got Goldie and Fern taking a dirt bath.  Chickens bathe in dirt to keep themselves clean and to help keep parasites off of them.   I know it doesn’t make much sense to bath in dirt to get clean but it works for chickens.   Also, bathing is a chicken activity that they apparently don’t like doing alone.  I don’t think I have ever seen just one chicken taking their bath.

This is one time I am glad I am not a chicken, lol.

Life’s Curve Ball and Stampin’ Up! Blog Candy

Hey There,

Well just when you think you have your schedule for the week all figured out and you are caught up on everything, life throws you a big old curve ball.

Tuesday after I finished by blog post for the day and was all ready to get out in the garden to get a jump start on some projects, I started having chest pains.  It was scary enough that I got myself to the hospital to get checked out.  They kept me until last night.  Two days of poking me with needles, stress test etc.  I found out that my heart is perfect, but I have high blood pressure and stress probably brought on the chest pains.  Nothing medication and taking better care of myself won’t cure.  Whew!  what a relief.  🙂

So, I’m taking today to get caught up on things.  But I have some blog candy to give away.   That’s right I’m giving away a brand new Stampin’ Up! See Ya Later Stamp set!

I live in a rural community with lots and lots of farm land surrounding us.  I love to look out my window and see the fresh plowed fields that have been newly planted and the hint of Spring Green growth popping up.  That really means Spring to me.

I’m still playing with my Stampin’ Up! Lovely As a Tree set.    Check out this sun!  I hope it inspires you to create a sunset today.
Now that the snow is melting, I’m going to get outside this afternoon in the sunshine to take a look at my garden space and do some planning for this summers veggie garden.  🙂

Soft Tree Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Ahhh, I just want to go sit under this tree, listen to the water trickle by and read a book of poetry, lol.

That would sure beat the heck out of what I see outside my office window today.  Yep, snow! “Uncle, uncle” I cry!  I have had enough.  Are you feeling those end of Winter blahs too?

Well to help combat that, stamp yourself a Spring scene where there is lots of Spring green involved.  Add some soft colors and it sure brings a bit of peace to your mind.  I hope my project today inspires you to do just that.
