Hello Stampers,

Before Winter comes I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Snow Front stamp set once again, in a non-Winter way.  We all know, this stamp set is super for Winter scenes but, let’s not forget it can be used year around as well.  I’m all about that and all of the little elements in this set make me so happy!

I only used the Snow Front stamp set today but, I would be amiss if I didn’t point out just how beautifully this set coordinates with these other great sets from Stampin’ Up! to give you lots of scene elements and options.
These three stamp sets have the same design feel to them.  I love all of them and I’m hoping, fingers crossed, Stampin’ Up! will continue this line of stamps, I can’t get enough of them.

I certainly hope you are having a terrific week and getting lots of your favorite stamping in.  My week has been going great, finally getting some where on my re-organization of all of my craft supplies.  Such a big job, but I have found stuff I  forgot I even had.  It’s like coming home with a big craft supply haul, SCORE!  I do have one question, where does all the dust come from?  My dust bunnies sure have been busy breeding of late, lol.

I’ve got a pretty Autumn tree reflection card for you today using the Life is Beautiful stamp set.  the tree in the set is a very nice size.  You will need to send someone a decent sized card to get this whole scene on it.  This card measures 4″ x 9″ and take a letter sized envelope #10.  The #10 envelopes can be picked up about any where.  When someone gets a card of this size they are sure to notice and will be grateful for happy mail.  🙂

Hello Stampers,

You Have to Start Some Where. . . .

Hello Stampers,

I don’t have a card for today.  I took the day and my Sister, Sonja and I face timed each other and created our very first mixed media pieces together.  This is a great way to use up cut pieces of Designer Series Paper and another use for all those stamps we have.

Granted you need additional supplies and if you are like me, you probably already have them in a cubby some where in your craft room.

I know, my first mixed media journal page is not a masterpiece but, we had to start some where and we learned a lot and had some together time and fun even though she is across the country from me.

I had some of the retired Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to use up, it’s peeking though in the background and the poppies were cut out of the same paper too.  I used the current Alphabet stamp set, Make a Difference for the sentiment.  Add Matte Medium, Mod Podge and Acrylic Paints and a big children’s book I altered to create a journal and WALLA!   This is my new journal cover.

I would be so excited to hear what other things, besides cards, you create with your stamps and paper.  Let me hear it below in the comments, ya’ll.

Today I’m show casing one of the returning favorites stamp sets, Christmas Gleaming.  I am so glad Stampin’ Up! decided to bring this stamp set back along with the coordinating punches for the ornaments.  It’s a beautiful stamp set and you can see why it is so popular.

I really got festive today and added a stenciled polka dot embossed background and shaded the ornaments to give them a curved look. 🙂

Stampin’ Halloween cards is so fun for me, it gives me a chance to get into the deeper darker colors and the spooky side of things.  Not in to Halloween?  You could certainly use this background I created as a back drop for a woodland animal or how about some mushrooms?

I used the new creepy but beautiful, Hallows Night Magic stamp set for my stamped images.

This morning as I was putting away some supplies that were scattered all over my desk, I was thinking about how many of you may cringe when you see ink pads and stamp blocks all gunked up with ink and adhesive and such.  Don’t get me started on the state of my stamps, scissors, markers etc.

Life is Beautiful – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I pulled out some Autumn colors today for this project and used the brand new stamp set, Life is Beautiful.  This stamp set will take us through every season so it’s a great investment, but look at it shine now for those upcoming Autumn cards.  They will be needed before we know it.

Tip:  I know it’s tempting to stamp trees straight up and down but, you can get a more interesting scene if you stamp your tree at a bit of an angle.  🙂
