Hello Stamping friends,

I’m playing with one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets today, Earthen Textures, along with a fun and very simple embossing folder technique.  This technique gives the appearance of the top panel being embedded into the lower one to create a lovely scene.  I left off all of the bling and do dads and just let the scene shine for this thank you card.  But as always you can dress your card up as much as you would like.

Inspirational Sketches Mushrooms Card

Hello Stamping friends,

I always think fruits and vegetable images make for a great note card or thank you card.  I created this one today using the mushrooms from the new Inspirational Sketches stamp set.  Making them a bright color has them POP against a pale background then add some dark images in front and you have a scene with a lot of depth and therefore, makes your scene really stand out.

Kiddin’ Around Card

Hello Stamping friends,

I’m using a super cute stamp set today, Kiddin’ Around.   ADORABLE!!!!   I love every image and it’s perfect to make kid cards with.    My card scene today has the little wizard image creating a colorful rainbow.    I can think of so many things that could pop out of his stick wand and I’m looking forward to getting them onto some of my cards in the near future.

Butterfly’s Favorite Postage Card

I had so much fun creating this card using some new products such as, the Paper Butterfly Accents, Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder, Perennial Postage Dies and the Stampin’ UP! new Brayer.   You can find all of the links to these products below in the supply list for this project.

Screenshot 2024-01-26 at 9.33.04 AMOne word on the new brayer, this brayer is a harder plastic brayer that is perfect for inking up embossing folders and stamps, etc.  It is not so good at laying color on card stock.  I have use to brayer a lot and it’s best to get a soft rubber brayer to lay down color on card stock and to blend them.   I for one, love to use blending brushes to blend colors with now, super easy!  The new brayer is perfect for its intended use.  I used it a couple different ways in this card.

Inspirational Sketches Collage Card

Hello Stamping friends,

How about feathers of a different color today.  I decided to make use of some interesting images to create a simple collage background for our feathered friend today and to make my bird pop by bringing on the purple colors for him.  He is cute no matter what color you make him.  I could see this same bird in blues, reds, pinks, greens and oranges, so fun!  Just whatever color you make your bird add a little of that same color to the background collage to coordinate the scene.

Playing in the Rain Card

I’m making it rain in today’s card project.  This is the last exclusive tutorial for this month.  To get this month’s exclusive step by step tutorial package be sure to get your order in prior to the end of the month.
The super cute fox on this card is from the Playing in the Rain stamp set (see the complete list of supplies used below).    I created the easy rainy background to highlight the fox with his umbrella and slicker on.  To create more interest and some dimension on the card front I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies set to make a Daffodil Delight frame.  This really makes the scene pop!

Polar Bear Buckle Card

I think this super cute Polar Bear from the Stampin’ Up! set Warm & Toasty deserves a bit of a fancy fold layout today.  He is darling, right?  I put him on a cute buckle card layout.  This layout is a good one to have in your arsenal.  🙂

Don’t Stop Believin’ Christmas Tag Tutorial

Hello Stampers,

This morning I sat down and created these Christmas Tags and I thought I would take you along on my step by step process.  All of the supplies I used are listed below in this post.   Ready, here we go!


I made four tags.  Cut the right and left sides off of the Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper and then cut the two sides that you cut off in half to measure 6″ each.

 

Sponge Crumb Cake ink on the panels leaving the center white and then sponge Soft Suede ink on the edges of the panels.

Cut (4) 2.75″ x 6.5″ Soft Suede panels and use the corner rounder punch on the top corners.

Stamp Santa (4) times on 2.5″ x 8.5″ Whisper White strips using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Color the Santa in with Stampin’ Blends Markers:  Suite Dark Cherry Cobbler, Shadows in beard, glove, hat brim and hat ball Light Smoky Slate, Skin Ivory, checks Light Flirty Flamingo.

Cut around the head and shoulders of the image and sponge the edges of the head and shoulders with Crumb Cake ink.

Adhere together the Crumb Cake panels, Specialty Designer Series panels and then add the Santa to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop him up.

 

Adhere a crossed piece of ribbon to the top of the tag using a stapler.  Create a bow with an additional piece of ribbon and adhere it to the tag using Mini Glue Dots.

Panel on back of the tag is a 2.5″ x 6″ Crumb Cake panel, sponge Soft Suede ink on the edges, stamp the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink and the “to From” with Soft Suede ink.  Adhere it to the back of the tag covering the staple.
