Katzelkraft Bird in Water – Tutorial #152 And New Blog Candy!

dsc06941.JPG

Well hello there everyone!  I’ve been away tooooo long from my stamping room.  A lot has been going on with holiday preparation.

For the Thanksgiving Holiday my small family gets together at our house for the feast.  I still have half of the feast in the frig that needs eaten.  (Just slap it on my thighs, that’s where it is going anyway, lol)    We are not fancy people, this is my table setting for the occasion.  🙂

I have to show you the two beast that were underfoot in the kitchen the whole day.  These two both weigh over 100 lbs each.  Abby the Lab and Lucas the German Short Haired Pointer/Great Dane mix.  Both of these babies came from a local shelter after our beloved German Shepherd passed about 5 years ago.   I encourage everyone to adopt their pets and spay and neuter them.  🙂  Sorry, had to throw that in there, it’s too important.

Yesterday was spent, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!  After Shopping we started putting up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  This is the progress we made before dark.  I then completely passed out on the couch, lol.  I hope those who celebrate Thanksgiving had one filled with the love and Joy of Family and Friends.

Happy Thanksgiving! I love your pound puppies; we adopt pound puppies as well. Last time, my son found the “one” he had to have and sat at the pound for more than six hours till I could get there after work!

Love the birds and the blog! I would love to win the birds. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!

Since finding your blog, many hours have been spent trying your tutorials, now my friends are asking,”how do you do that. I’m a bird lover and watcher so enjoy the bird cards along with all the others. We lost our big beautiful chocolate lab last year and we still miss him. One day the right dog will come along to fill our void, our shelters have a big problem with parvo so don’t want to go there. Thanks for all the well spent hours.

Thank you for your inspiration! I had no idea of the things you could accomplish with a brayer. Loved the pictures on your blog. (I have three dogs – two labs & a cocker spaniel). Please include me in your blog candy drawing.

You are so talented. I did your brayered sky technique for a retirement card for a co-worker and he was very moved by the card. Thank you for giving all of us so much inspiration. And thanks for the spay/neutering plug! People really need to learn to be more responsible with their beloved animal family members.

  15. What beautiful dogs! My husband and I adopted our dog at a local animal shelter. She was only 10 weeks old and a mixed breed. Someone found her in the woods only 1/2 hours before we walked into the shelter. I spotted her immediately and fell in love on the spot ! She is now 10 years old and I cherish every day with her.

WOW! another great card. I just am amazed how you crank them out. I really do love this one. it reminds me of my grandmother. she always had a beautiful yard with lots of trees, flowers, and birdbaths. she could sit and watch the birds playing in the birdbath. to this day, I love being still and listening to the birds early in the morning. thanks for the sweet memories…….
