Katzelkraft Bird in Water – Tutorial #152 And New Blog Candy!

dsc06941.JPG

Well hello there everyone!  I’ve been away tooooo long from my stamping room.  A lot has been going on with holiday preparation.

For the Thanksgiving Holiday my small family gets together at our house for the feast.  I still have half of the feast in the frig that needs eaten.  (Just slap it on my thighs, that’s where it is going anyway, lol)    We are not fancy people, this is my table setting for the occasion.  🙂

dsc06906.JPG  dsc06908.JPG

I have to show you the two beast that were underfoot in the kitchen the whole day.  These two both weigh over 100 lbs each.  Abby the Lab and Lucas the German Short Haired Pointer/Great Dane mix.  Both of these babies came from a local shelter after our beloved German Shepherd passed about 5 years ago.   I encourage everyone to adopt their pets and spay and neuter them.  🙂  Sorry, had to throw that in there, it’s too important.

Yesterday was spent, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!  After Shopping we started putting up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  This is the progress we made before dark.  I then completely passed out on the couch, lol.  I hope those who celebrate Thanksgiving had one filled with the love and Joy of Family and Friends.

    Hi Michelle,
from a lovely sunny southern hemisphere day :-). We too have light displays here, but nothing like we see pictured in the States, and if we want to see them at their best, we have to wait until about 9:30 when it is properly dark.

Thanks for another inspiring tutorial, and the bird stamps would make a wonderful Christmas gift 🙂

WOW! You never cease to amaze me. I love everything you do. Where do you find all the different stamps? Do companies just send you stamps wanting you to create something with them?

  8. Thanks for the chance to win the blog candy! I think it’s really neat how you find lesser known stamp companies with interesting designs. It has inspired me to step “outside the box” for my rubber suppliers and, I must say, I am pleased with the results!

The last blog candy you gave away on my birthday – I thought what a nice birthday present that would be! Well, the generator didn’t pick my name. Now you are giving away another set of stamps on my husband’s birthday. If you draw my name, I promise I will let him borrow them from time to time. LOL This is a beautiful card! I visit your blog every day to see if you have posted another gorgeous card so you have become part of my daily routine now. Hope your Thanksgiving was fun – we don’t have dogs at our house but all of our kitties have come from the pound or were strays that wandered into our yard, starving half to death. Thanks for your generosity, Michelle.

    Hi Michelle,
My little rescue dog arrived on Thanksgiving along with my daughter, the vet. He’s a cute little Boston terrier who got into rat poison. He’s recovering and getting lots of love. I truly enjoy your work and I’m learning lots.

What a beautiful stamp set and, as usual, your card is just outstanding! Your lights look great, your dogs are too sweet looking! We have a small dog- a cockapoo named Peanut- he is very sweet and loves to sit under the table and delights on scraps that make it to the floor (some intentionally……..). Have a great weekend!

Hello from Columbus, Ohio. We are here visiting family. We saw more snow on the way here than we have in Ontario. This card is so beautiful! I love how the water looks like it has reflections. I’d love to have the bird stamps. Love the lights on your house. It looks like a Christmas post card. Thanks for all you do.

Beautiful, as always. We get our babies, er, dogs form the pound, too. I think they know they’ve been saved. And, of course, the spaying and neutering are ESSENTIAL. I hope EVERYONE had a blessed warm and cozy Thanksgiving, and among the thanks given, one more was given for living in this incredible country. i know times are tough right now, but nowhere near as tough as many other places on this globe.
    Peace, y’all!
