Katzelkraft Bird in Water – Tutorial #152 And New Blog Candy!

dsc06941.JPG

Well hello there everyone!  I’ve been away tooooo long from my stamping room.  A lot has been going on with holiday preparation.

For the Thanksgiving Holiday my small family gets together at our house for the feast.  I still have half of the feast in the frig that needs eaten.  (Just slap it on my thighs, that’s where it is going anyway, lol)    We are not fancy people, this is my table setting for the occasion.  🙂

I have to show you the two beast that were underfoot in the kitchen the whole day.  These two both weigh over 100 lbs each.  Abby the Lab and Lucas the German Short Haired Pointer/Great Dane mix.  Both of these babies came from a local shelter after our beloved German Shepherd passed about 5 years ago.   I encourage everyone to adopt their pets and spay and neuter them.  🙂  Sorry, had to throw that in there, it’s too important.

Yesterday was spent, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!  After Shopping we started putting up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  This is the progress we made before dark.  I then completely passed out on the couch, lol.  I hope those who celebrate Thanksgiving had one filled with the love and Joy of Family and Friends.

Thank you for sharing your Thanksgiving happenings. Our dinner was pretty simple also, and for once no one was stressed out, ’cause everyone pitched in w/the food. We have a new addition to our family after our Scootie passed away 1 1/2 yrs ago. We have Roxie now who’s almost 9 weeks old – Min Pin and Chihuahua – love her to death already. Anyway – love the card – I want to win the stamps so I can try the card you made. I love your ideas and your cards. Always anxious to see what the next card will be like. I look daily to see if there is one. Pick my number to win!!!!

  28. Blog Candy here I come! Sure hope I win this one – I love bird stamps and these are incredible.

Someone asked about the pine tree stamp. It is from Stampin’ Up! “Lovely as a Tree” set. This set has been offered since the beginning and has never been retired. You can also find it on eBay. I picked up a set on eBay after seeing the millions of amazing ways Michelle has used it in her beautiful cards!

Michelle, your artwork is so amazing and I am putting all your techniques to work in my stamping. You always inspire, and thank you so much for taking the time to share with all of us! Thanks again, Lynne

  30. Thank you for all the work you do in sharing your ideas. I love every card you make and your blog is my favourite. (Not just buttering you up, I really do mean it just like all the other fans). I would love to win these stamps. I doubt they will get to the Australian shops, so it will mean more internet spending, and then I have to make the order up to an amount that’s worthwhile 🙂 Of course, every purchase turns into something bigger than intended. Love using bird stamps, and these look especially good.

Oh Michelle! This is gorgeous! I just spent two days working on a brayered sky and did pretty decent. need to check your FAQs though. gotta figure out how to get rid of the ‘lines’ left form the brayer itself….

BUT, regarding this card. I LOVE it. oh, I’d love, love, love, LOVE for a christmas gift!!!

Fingers crossed for the candy, but either way I LOVE your tutorials and look forward to them everytime I open my email.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!!! (your house looks gorgeous…)

This is a gorgeous set of stamps – thanks for offering it. I’m really pleased that you have solved a mystery – there’s one particular bird on there that I’ve seen used a lot and didn’t know who manufactured it (the one with the really long tail feathers). Your card is fabulous.
