Season’s Greetings and Melting Snow – Tutorial #156

dsc07032.JPG

Season’s Greetings to each and everyone of you!  I have decided to take the presser of blogging off of my plate for the rest of the month of December so I can really enjoy the holidays.  My next post will be after the New Year.

I’m going to leave you until then with a very quick to put together brayer card.

Let’s get started:

Supplies:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up Lovely as a Tree, Impression Obsession Branches of a Tree
Paper: Stampin’ Up Whisper White & Not Quite Navy, Basic Grey Design Paper
Ink: Stampin’ Up Baja Breeze & Old Olive, Adirondack Lake Mist & Pitch Black
Accessories: Stampin’ Up Word Window Punch, Brads, Brayer, White Gel Pen ********************************************************

Brayered Baja Breeze ink at the top of a 3.25″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock.

dsc07024.JPG

Brayered Old Olive ink at the bottom of the card stock leaving a white section of the card stock showing.

dsc07025.JPG

Stamped the Lovely as a Tree Stamp with Lake Mist ink.

dsc07027.JPG

Stamped the large tree with Pitch Black ink.

dsc07028.JPG

Punched two Word Window Punches from Not Quite Navy Card stock to use as embellishments.  I cut one curved end off of each one.

dsc07029.JPG

Assembled card and added White Gel pen to the large tree branches and white gel pen at the base of the tree on the ground to simulate snow.

Here is the finished card measuring 5″ x 6.5″.

May your holidays this season be ones you will remember always.

Until next year. . . . . .. . . . . . . .

Huge Huge Hugs,

Michelle

I’ve been looking for you each day. I’m glad you checked in. You deserve a break especially with the holidays. Holidays can be stressful enough without the added pressure of a blog. We will, of course, go through withdrawls! I have until this last post. I was wondering if you were okay.

Have a very Merry Christmas, Michelle!

Good for you Michelle ! I’m happy to hear you’re taking time off to enjoy the holidays. We often put too much pressure on ourselves to try to do it all. I assumed you were busy with holiday preparation and classes. I was hoping I was correct and you were ok. I missed your tutorials and ispiration, but I’m happy you’re taking much needed time off.
Your card today truly depicts a serene winter day. It captures that bleak, but quiet, peaceful look of winter. As always, the color and shading are beautiful. I’ll look forward to your future beautiful cards.
Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy, New Year !
