Alcohol inks, don’t you just love them?  They are great on glossy card stock and they work extremely well with transparencies as I will show you in this tutorial.

Stamped Spring Song Hummingbird with Palette Noir Black ink on a 3.25″ x 4.75″ piece of Transparency.  I like to use either Palette Noir ink for this or Stazon, either one works fine.

This is my Alcohol ink drawer.  🙂  I have a few colors to pick from, lol.

After the Palette Noir Black ink has dried, I flip the transparency over.  The stamping is side down now.  This also reverses the image.

Cut a piece of Stampin’ Up Design paper for my background.  I like to do this early in the project so I can put my transparency image over it to see how I like it.

I use another transparency as a ink palette.  I put a few drops of Lettuce Alcohol ink on the transparency.  I keep an Aqua Painter filled with Alcohol Blender Solution for the technique.

With the Alcohol Blender filled Aqua Painter I paint the Lettuce Alcohol ink on the leaves, stem & humming bird.

I didn’t like the Lettuce color on the humming bird so I went over it with Meadow Alcohol ink.

Now that is better.  🙂

Cleaned my Aqua Brush with a bit of alcohol and rubbed it on my scrap paper.

Painted the flowers in with the Aqua brush and Peach Bellini Alcohol ink.

Cleaned my Aqua Brush and my palette transpanency with Alcohol. 

Sponged Bordering Blue ink around the edges of the Designer paper and the Bordering Blue Panel.

Added White Gel Pen highlights to the flowers and humming bird.

Put the card front together and added ribbon and silver brads.

Here is the completed card measuring 5″ x 6.5″.
