On a 3″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock brayered Summer Sun ink at the bottom.

dsc09971.JPG

Brayered Perfect Plum ink at the top of the card stock.

dsc09972.JPG

Brayered Elegant Eggplant ink at the top not covering the Perfect Plum ink entirely.

dsc09973.JPG

Brayered Pumpkin Pie ink at the bottom of the card stock.

dsc09974.JPG

Used a 4.5″ card stock circle to mask the card stock.

dsc09975.JPG

Sponged Basic Black ink at the bottom of the card stock where it is not masked.

dsc09976.JPG

Used my Stamp A Ma Jig for placement and Stamped the Skateboarder with Basic Black ink.

Cut 3 panels, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie & Elegant Eggplant.  Stamped the Sanded Background Stamp on each one.  The Pumpkin Pie Panel and Eggplant panels were stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink and the Summer Sun Panel was stamped in Pumpkin pie ink.

dsc09979.JPG

Sponged Black around the edges of the panels to smudge them up a bit.

Assembled my card front and added a couple of brads to enhance the wheels of the skateboard.  Here is the finished card measuring 5″ x 6.5″.

These stamps are perfect for brayering! Masculine cards are so hard for me, but seeing your card makes me want to get these stamps! Love your colors. What boy would not flip for this card? Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your talent!

  2. Michelle,
    I LOVE this card.
I’ve been meaning to get these set of silhouette stamps and haven’t. Now I definitely know what I want to do with them. Plus u used colors I would NEVER put together, and made it look so good!

Thanks for this card! Beautifully done! I have an adult son who just built a half pipe so he could skate in his backyard….will he ever grow up? Oh well…..now I have to have this stamp and make him a card!

I love the vibrant nature of this card. When my nephews were both into skateboarding this would have been well received. Thanks for your instructions each time. Trouble is you make me want to buy stamps that we can’t get here! SU stamps here are way behind yours and about 50% more expensive!

This is such a striking card and wish this image would have been out 10 years ago when my son and friends were into skateboarding BIG time! Our driveway had ramps, rails, etc. and was a meeting place for all the skateboard lovers. 🙂

I hope this message gets through. The first one didn’t! When I posted the first message I got a message from Word Type to slow down, I am posting too fast – huh????

My 17 yo son gave this a *cool* rating. He thinks this is an awesome card and would be great to give to some of his friends. I do not have this stamp on my list cause I am already over 300 but wow, now I want it bad!

I love both of your tutorials today……. Love the bright colors on the snowboarder! Looks like it will be a while until Wheaton, Ill moves up on your list, but it will be worth the wait! Please enter me to win the stamp set- my Mom paints porcelains, and I bet the would work for her- and, one of my favorite cards you did is with this set and Trees Three on blue- a snowy scene….love that card! If you ever need to stop off on your way to a workshop, we’ll leave the light on!
