Back to the Hospital

Hey Everyone, please keep my husband, Russ in your thoughts on Monday, August 9th.  He will be undergoing a  procedure where the doc puts him out, stops his golden heart and shocks it into the correct rhythm.   This procedure works on about 80% of the people that it is done on.  Let’s just hope it works and he comes out of it safe and sound.

Thank you and hugs to all.

Michelle

Sounds like a Cardioversion! Hope all goes well. I’d say the 80% statistic is just about right. Most of our patients do well. Some it just doesn’t ‘take’. Anticoagulation meds are a pain. Hopefully things ‘take’ for him! Prayers are with you and Russ!

  3. My mother had the procedure done. It didn’t work on her, but she had Atrial Fib for quite awhile and it wasn’t likely to work, but they tried anyway. I know he will get through the procedure without problems and I pray he converts to a normal sinus rythym. He is in our prayers, along with you and your family.

    Michele,
I have learned and come to realize through many painful situations… that God loves the ones that are so dear to us… even more than we do…

I have learned that as I surrender back to God the ones that mean so much to me… that He takes care of them… even better than I ever could have… and have seen miracles in my families lives…

I have learned that as I trust the One who has given us life… that then He brings peace and comfort to me that surpasses my own understanding…

I believe God wants this for you as well… because of His love for you and Russ.

  6. Just wanted to let you know that my husband had a similar procedure and is now free of all problems.

Finding the area that is giving the problem, so they can zap it, is the time consuming part and sometimes it takes quite some time. For my husband it took about 6 hours but everything went smoothly and he absolutely has no problems now. It only took the doctor 7 years to finally talk him into the procedure. LOL
