Back to the Hospital

Hey Everyone, please keep my husband, Russ in your thoughts on Monday, August 9th.  He will be undergoing a  procedure where the doc puts him out, stops his golden heart and shocks it into the correct rhythm.   This procedure works on about 80% of the people that it is done on.  Let’s just hope it works and he comes out of it safe and sound.

Thank you and hugs to all.

Michelle

Hi Michelle – my very best thoughts and wishes to Russ. One of my friends had this procedure and it worked! I’ll be thinking of him (and you) tomorrow – sending good thoughts to you both!!!

  3. Positive thoughts coming your way! It’s scary business to have any sort of operation, but to stop a heart – oh my. You must be so anxious. Take care and know that we are here if you need to reach out for support!

  4. I know it sounds so scary, doesn’t it, but a friend of mine recently had this same procedure done and she is doing fabulous, I’m sure your hubby will come through with flying colors as well.

  5. Hi Michelle!
You and your husband will be in my prayers and I am sending you via this post a huge HUG! I know what you are going through, my husband had this done after his open heart surgery about 10 years ago. When he went in for his first check-up they noticed the rhythm was off and was put in the hospital immediately to correct. It worked like a charm, and he is still going strong 10 years later. My only salvation at the time was that I didn’t fully understand how seriously ill he was and therefore was a lot calmer (which really helped him in the long run). Put your trust in the Lord, and he will get you through this.

Russ is in my prayers Michelle. And I’ll ask St. Luke (one of the patron saints of Doctors) to guide the hands of Russ’ physicians.
    God Bless you both!

  7. Ah, the joys of cardioversion! He must be fighting atrial fib? Good luck with the procedure today….you are both in my prayers for a uncomplicated procedure with excellent results for Russ and a not too stressful experience for you in the waiting room! Goodness knows we need your helper to be in good shape, otherwise who would put your packets together? Just kidding about that but quite serious about the prayers for a good outcome! Jan
